Just in time for spring, Hong Kong Disneyland brings Carnivale of Stars for the first time to its visitors. The magical kingdom theme park is known to offer endless fun through seasonal programs. Carnivale of Stars debuts with a new lineup of activities and attractions. I was fortunate to witness the celebration as Mickey and the gang introduce new characters such as Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6, Moana, and Marvel Superheroes Black Panther, Groot and Spider-Man. The carnival atmosphere will extend to summer from June 21 to September 2.

Aside from the enjoyment of exploring the seven diverse lands of Hong Kong Disneyland, I got the chance to experience two of the luxury hotels within the compound of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort namely Disney Explorer Lodge, and Disneyland Hotel. Below is the rundown of the visual vibes of my staycation at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Springtime!

Disney Friends Springtime Processional is joined by more than 30 Disney friends, 50 performers and colorful convoy of flower trains.

Time for egg hunt! Scattered around the park are close to 100 character-themed eggs.

Karibuni Marketplace is a funfair where guests can take part in various interactive games such as the Wheel of Fortune, Blongo Balls and Plinko. I got lucky and won a cute Nemo plushie!

From March 15 until June 20, Hong Kong Disneyland debuts Carnivale of Stars that offers new spectacular attractions and activities day and night throughout Springtime.

Few days before the world premiere of the Avengers: Infinity War, we’re privileged to meet Groot. It was his debut appearance in Hong Kong Disneyland that day.

This is his first appearance at Hong Kong Disneyland making me the third person to have a photograph with Groot.

Hiro Hamada with Baymax is touring the guests to their room while Princess Jasmine is wishing us luck in Karibuni Marketplace.

Every night of spring and summer during the Carnivale of Stars season, We Love Mickey! projection show transforms the buildings of Main Street into a canvas of playful visuals that pay tribute to the memorable classics of Mickey.

Explorers Lodge & Disneyland Hotel

This is Hong Kong’s first adventure and leisure themed hotel. I commend Disneyland for living up to its Walt Disney name because the details are lit!

The hotel has 750 rooms and each room can accommodate 4 adults. The room rates start from HK$ 2,200.

Disney friends greeted us as we dine in Dragon Wind that serves traditional Chinese cuisine.

To kickstart mornings at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Goofy trains the kids and kids alike taichi.

Hathi Jr. Garden showcases the Asian-themed Garden of Disney Explorer Lodge and draws inspirations from The Jungle Book with its traditional Malay wood screen and Sumatran saddle roof house structures.

Disney Explorers Lodge features landscapes and cultures across different continents such as South America, Africa, Oceania, and Asia. The third hotel of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort took us straight to Bali.

Hong Kong Disneyland Attractions

Lovely young daughters can be dressed and made up as one of the Disney Princesses.

Visitors are welcomed by Main Street U.S.A., the first themed land of Hong Kong Disneyland.

Stitch is one of the many Disney characters joining the Flights of Fantasy Parade filled with music and aerial exhibitions.

All theme parks have carousels but none is as magical as The Walt Disney brand.

This is a wet and wild guided excursion around the River of Adventure one shouldn’t be missing.

I may not able to catch the Lion King Musical in Manila but at least I got to experience legit Disney production. And it’s awesome.

Visitors who wish to stay until closing are given a visual display treat with its Paint The Night parade.

Paint The Night parade is the electrical nighttime parade of Hong Kong Disneyland.

Hong Kong Disneyland won’t disappoint even after the sun sets. The night is illuminated with fun and colors.

One of my favorite rides is the RC Racer in the Toy Story Land swinging like a pendulum.

The theme park is still looking good at night.

Getting around the Happiest Place on Earth alone indeed takes away loneliness.
