Time and time again, we have confirmed through blog posts we read that true love can be found while traveling. It is not a fairy tale anymore even in modern times. Surely you’re not the damsel in distress waiting to be saved because you’re the type who conquers the world instead through travels. So why settle for a prince charming when you can meet the king (or be the king) in one of your travels? Here are the -kings that you may try to do during your travels:
1. Spelunking

Bahay Paniki, Biak-na-Bato, San Miguel, Bulacan
Or cave exploration. Here you will meet cave guides who have mastered the ways and means of getting in and out the caves alive and the sense of humour to connect stalactite and stalagmite formations to objects from the outside world.

Or meet me in Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, Legaspi
2. Mountain Hiking
The best form of social climbing. By the time you reach any summit, you had gotten to know more than the basics about your fellow hikers. You may already found someone that clicks with you, comfortable to be with inside a tent.

3. Planking
A lying down game that is so 200-and-late. While it seems foolish, being childlike and carefree on a travel is priceless.

I just pretend that I don’t see young Korean couples holding their hands together in Nami Island, South Korea
4. River Trekking

Tinipak River, Daraitan, Rizal
Ain’t no river wide enough to keep you from getting to love right?

The ninth wheel among the Tabing Ilog casts at Balaong River, San Miguel, Bulacan
5. Photowalking and Filmmaking

Travel goes hand-in-hand with photography and videography. And there is a chance to develop pictures, films, and relationships.

6. Biking and Motorbiking
Habal-habal is one of my favourite modes of moving on, I mean, moving around a new place because you got to see it in full view. And nothing comes close being romantic with biking while wrapping your arms to your hubby’s body.

7. Kayaking

You can channel your inner Richard Gomez in rowing a kayak.

8. Social Drinking
Probably leading to Lovemaking. LOL. Basta alak, may balak.
Networking through Backpacking
“The more entries you send, the more chances of winning”, they said. Well, it’s true when looking for love. These activities not only push yourself above your limits but also opportunities to grow your network (or your list of candidates). So the more people you meet, the more chances of winning true love. Forget those people who invite you in networking for a coffee or two. The real kings and queens are just out there.
